Taller de Seguimiento de metas

Para mi el seguimiento de las metas es de mucha importancia, saber que es lo que quieres es una cosa, pero el seguir y mantenerte hasta alcanzar esa meta es algo completamente distinto. En lo personal a mi me pareció de mucha ayuda este taller, me ayudó a saber que fue lo que hice mal, porque salí mal en unas materias y porque salí bien en otras, en este taller me di cuenta de cuales son los puntos en los que debo concentrarme, como podré alcanzar mi meta que es tener 95 promedio final el próximo parcial. También me ayudo el recordar las metas que me e propuesto para este semestre y me alegró mucho saber que la mayoría de ellas ya las estoy llevando a cabo.

Espero seguir en el camino, ser perseverante en mi trabajo para así poder alcanzar todo lo que me propongo y no nada más en la escuela, si no también en todo lo que me proponga en mi vida.

What do you think is the most important thing you learned through this WebQuest?

I think that the most important thing I learned are all the type of calculus that we applied, those are very interesting methods that allow us to thin through all what scientists do all the time, and how do they do it.
It was a good activity, new in many senses and I enjoy it a lot.

Would you recommend the use of a WebQuest to learn Mathematics or some other Science subject? Why?

I think it was a very useful tool for us because we learned a lot with all the lectures and stuff. There was very interesting topics.

What can your teacher do to improve the project? Any suggestions?

Well in my personal point of view… I really like the project, it is a completely different and practical way to learn, to get fun, and to be an actress, I loved this project. The only suggestion is that next time for other generations, try to involve more the teachers, or the principal.. I think it could be fun

This busy week...

This week was really busy and overwelming for all of our team, since we had many things to do regarding to the series of Murder we wrote we are filming and also, helping Fernanda with all her activities of her candidacy. This week, we filmed some scenes of the series last Monday, and we made an arrangement that we will stop recording untill tomorrow, Saturday, when finally the ball is over and when we will know if Fernanda had won, but with hope a lot that she could win.

So tomorrow at 10 a.m. we will continue recording, we have to film some scenes in the 300, I mean were is the police and everything, others scenes in my house, etc.

I hope that tomorrow we could make a great filming and a great acting...

I'm here to tell you how is it going my calculus class and my final proyect.
well about the class I think I am doing very goood becuase I am understanding everything in the class. so my homeworks as well are excellent:)

And my proyect is doing fine, we already started the video, and I am very exicted with thisd is going to be very good...:)

About the CENEVAL this was a very long exam, it was just as long and difficult as I imagined.
I hope I could get a good grade, I think I answer correct many of the questions. But we can't make sure of nothing until we get the final grade.

In this partial I get better a little, I rise my grade like 2 decimals but I am in the process, I felt good in this partial, well I understand everything but in the quizzes I don’t know why was it difficult, but I got 83 I think, and I will improve for next partial.

For the final project in this holy week I am going to write all the history, we already have the idea but I am going to write it for a better understanding also I am going to get together with my team, for working on dialogues, and for remaking the calculus.

Week 8!

Today was the last class in this partial before the exam, I am very nervous, I have to study a lot for this partial, i like this class a lot but you have to be very careful of all the litle things lioke, signs, algebra rules, and all that stuff.

Today in class we practice a lot, but the best momnet in the class,was when teacher Linda said there is no quiz. Is much better for us that Linda use thegrade of the exam as grade for the 3rd quiz too. I am going to study a lot in order to get an excellent grade, and make higher my quizes grade.

About the project we are deciding who is going to do what in the team, so everyone can help, and get fun in this project. We have all the story drama and everything, is going to be an amazing video.

1. What is the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

: It describes the cooling of a warmer object to the cooler temperature of the environment, and you can do this with a special process.

2. What variables in your problem correspond with the variables in the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

: The time of death, the environment temperature, the time, etc.

3. According to this Law, at what time approximately the death happened?

: At 9:06 pm

4. How does the room temperature affect the time of death?

: It affect it because a room temperature, is the environment temperature that we are using in the process, is part of the formula.

5. How does an illness (e.g. fever) affect the time of death?

: It affects because if the body had fever it is more time to get cool as the environment.

6. How exact is the approximation of the Newton’s Law of Cooling for predicting the time of death?

: It is very close because you are using facts that make you see what happened minutes or hours after.

4. What methods are commonly used to find the time of death?

There are two methods used in to find the time of death: the rate method that is the one that makes a comparison in the persons common behavior and the persons behavior moments after the death. The temperature, changes in the body etc. Another one is the concurrence method; this is about mathematics, and logic you have to check all kinds of clues in the place of the death, this helps to determine if the hypothesis of the time of death that they have said is true or false

5. What factors are considered in Algor Mortis?

*The size of the body.*Clothing and coverings.*Movement and humidity of the air.*Immersion in water.*Etc.

6. How does the environment affect the time of death?

The environment affect it a lot because it give us a temperature, the heat or cold in a room for example it is used to determine the time of death, wit does calculations you can exactly determine when the body change of temperature, that is when the heart stopped pumping, so the body start getting cold. Is very important the environment.

7. What can you tell about the different methods of temperature reading of the body? Do they make a difference in the results?

I think this kind of forensic methods are better in this kind of situations, is gives you the answer to all your questions, it is only about his death, or well is the first thing to do in order to find the murder, with this you can know how far away does the murder can be and many things, like that. We know that the thermometer is a very useful house article, it is good for us, but for this kind of things it isn’t.

This is very important because it bring us a fact of at what time do the murder happened and that way the police can solve or fallow easier the murderer. I think this project it is very interesting, far away from all usual projects, I really like it. The thing of us working as investigators, to find the murder is amazing, but I don’t know yet how we are going to use calculus in this case, but I do know that it is going to be very good.


I think all this project is very well designed, so we are going to get fun and also learn about how to use math in this way.

Creo que este espacio nos puede servir para muchas cosas, ya que aquí podemos expresar lo que opinamos de la materia, de distintas reflexiones, y es algo único porque ninguna otra materia cuenta con un sitio así.

I think this is a very interesting quote because it is a reality we think first in the things that happen to us, we should think about all things that had happen in the world, that are reasons for the history, what had passed, tends to repeat in the future, always maybe no to the same person, but for others yes.

I like it , this tell us that we must think in our problems, try to figure out thing but, by seeing all around you, not only in you.
